This week, I continued with the smaller pieces, but also allowed myself to make even smaller pieces out of wood. At this point, I hadn't allowed myself to leave the realm of painting because it was (and still is) what I knew best. However, by increasing my sizes I was slowly dipping into the idea of changing the things I was familiar with. I wanted to continue making these odd shapes with soft colors and marks. Rather than just painting them, I continued experimenting with drawing and painting them.
