30 Minute Exterior Installation

Rituals connect people in many different ways, be it physically or mentally. People rely heavily on this to cope with the everyday trials they face in life. This work represents the basic human need to worship and accept a higher power, whether it be worshipping inside or out. The arrangement changes based on the way different people choose to worship this higher power. The pieces represent relics and items often used in rituals to offer things.

BFA Progress: Week 11

Past Work Current Work                      For this week, I decided to re-photograph all of my previous pieces in a normal setting. I used natural light on the patio but rigged a little "photo booth" area where I can get the most open space/light. I had to tweak the lighting a bit in order to ensure that I got the most vibrancy in the photos.  Definitely liking the direction I've chosen to go. Of course, I do miss painting but these little pieces are so satisfying that they make up for it. I'll more than likely make some paintings on the side to boost my creative process.

BFA Progress: Week 12

For this week, I tried my best to photograph in different ways. I used the same set-up, however I wanted to know what grouping them more closely would look like. I enjoy both equally, but in order to get better images for the website, I figured getting more in one shot would be more helpful. I will probably have to re-photograph a majority of these as these photos were mainly grouped by when I made them so I could keep track of the work I'd already posted.
